I know it`s been a long time and if this post is read by no one, so be it. This whole blog has been about freeing my thoughts, and let you ,Dear Reader, inside for a time. Throughout it all I have been sincere and much of it was written with your entertainment in mind, and some done to soothe my ego, which has required stroking for as long as I can remember. I honestly don`t know if thats good or bad, but I do know I never did have control over that. It may be the essence of what makes us all different. These are all good reasons to post, but without Buster sitting there at my right hand I just couldn`t.
Without Buster I`m just another idiot with a cheap keyboard. I got a call yesterday from Busters agent that he was flying in this morning. Of course, I went over to the airport to pick him up , he seemed to be really happy to see me. It was our first meeting since 2008, while Buster had changed little and I said so, he remarked that my eyes had gained some crowsfeet, I told him that it was`nt just the feet but the whole dammed crow that he was seeing. With that we laughed heartily and it was like the old times again.
On the way back here to Damnfarm, he talked some about his adventures in Europe but when I let him out of the truck he was the old Buster that I knew well. I got his bags out of the truck and started out for the house, he said he needed to be by himself for a bit and he`d come inside soon. I watched him from the window as he smelled of everything in the yard, I watched as he backed up to a bush and sprayed and for just a moment I thought he had returned home to stay but deep down I knew it was`nt so. He was no longer my kitty cat, but everyones kittycat.
Tomorow is Busters birthday and he`s getting up there in kitty years. I shared everything I learned about the net and blogging with him but never a word about how all living things must die. It troubled me for a time, but now I can see it`s the best gift of the many I`ve given him. He lives his life like there`s no tommorow and now as he naps I blog and realize that I too must live my life like there`s no tommorow. Perhaps it`s a philosophy that you too should consider. Until next time, goodbye and good luck.
